004: new stuff, archive stuff
TL;DR: some lil layour edits + icons, first Check This Out! and a new art category!
On a bit longer-winded side: I got around to replacing the site icon and also made a lil RSS icon that fits next to the clacks on the footer :) It points to this section, as it’s the most centralized the updates will really be. Also: now we have breadcrumb navigation! Yippee yahoo! Seeing how confusing it started getting without one and Two blog-like sections, it got. Interesting for sure! Also i just. Like how breadcrumbs look. Don’t laugh at me i just htink they’re charming.
The Check This Out! section (previously mentioned as something akin to “cool thing i found on the internet” but that was WAY too fucking long-winded) finally got its first installment with just general cool stuff.
I also created the Art Space section for general art stuff! A galerry of sorts somewhere in the future, maybe… For now, it is a prototype. Very messy one. Please wear a helmet you’re entering construction area. I made it for the PCE contest submissions archive page, since the internet is so goddamn mean towards small-reslotuion pixelart. And I have a webbed site and hands to type with so I’m going to make that everybody’s problem. The current template is uh. Moody at best, and sometimes generates how I want it to (with the title there twice when it’s being mean to me), so just. Have patience with me. I fought with nicely slotting in new CSS just for this page enough.
Next on:
- art space. so much stuff to be done in art space holy shit.
- probably first: fix the templating explosion that is happening over there
- that means finding out what is going on with the PCE page
- and then figuring out how to have the section link to its sub-section with nice thumbnails instead of blog-like structure
- Check This Out! with a highlights from AGDQ 2026 which was so fucking cool. I will recommend everyone so many speedruns it’s not even funny
